Campus, Alien Registration, and Engrish

Today I felt like taking pictures of campus. So here's the result. Tons of pictures of Kansai Gaidai.

Giant basket ball court. The ground is like carpet, but they put sand over it for some reason. Also, I noticed, they only have goals on one side of the court. How do you play? Guess it's just for drills or something...

Japanese spider. Someone let me know if they know what kind it is and if it's poisonous. There are a ton under the awing over the Katahoko bus stop.

The CIE is easy to spot because of the strange outdoor tables...

Okay so I went down to Hirakata shi to file for Alien registration today after classes. Alex had already done it with her host family, but decided to come with me anyway for fun.

It wasn't too hard to find.

Inside Hirakata city hall.

Only 748 numbers to go...

Just kidding! The 800 numbers were for foreigners and there were different number groups for people there for different reasons. Gtandtotal we waited like ten minutes to be seen and it took maybe ten minutes for them to file the paperwork.

I have to come back between Oct 6 and Oct 12 to pick up my Alien card...

The guy that helped me had this "elvis" hair thing going. Almost made me feel at home. Almost...

Alex and I grabbed lunch.

We were approached by two more Japanese students today, Sayaka and Tomoe. They were both freshman English majors that wanted to practice their English.

After I left campus, I stopped by Avail and Sanko. Oh the Engrish...

My personal favorite: because who doesn't love Nebraska's beautiful mountains?

Not sure what I'm making for dinner, but I better get off and do that now. My stomach is starting to growl... Catch ya'll later.
