So, Chie told us about this cosplay store in Shinsaibashi and said it was a pretty good place to look for Halloween costumes. So Shanikia, Alex and I decided to check it out.
Afterwards we walked the long stretch of a mall that connects Namba and Shinsaibashi, called Americamura.
At the very end, we found this Import store that carries Dr. Pepper!
"Skin Food."
"I'm bound to go whatever you say."
Afterwards, we met up with Brittany and Amanda at Sweets Paradise. Alex had never been.
Then we hung out at an arcade, did purikura and played taiko drum game. Brittany is pretty good at the crane game... Alex had to leave then to get home by curfew.
We had Japanese crepes!
Almond chocolate crunch- "amondochyokokaryunchi"
Then, at Brittany's insisting, we explored Shinsaibashi.
Dragon with disturbing lazy eye...
We met this guy standing on the corner advertising a bar. Maru is 19 and a college student. We talked to him for some time. Mainly us practicing our Japanese and he, his English. He was really nice.
But we did not pay attention to the time and missed the last train... :( The trains stop running after 11 and start the next day around 6.
We tried to get a taxi, but Hirakata is pretty far from Shinsaibashi, and the taxi drivers we talked to did not even know the way. One did, but said it was too far out of his way and would be too expensive for us. Thinking it over, we deiced Karaoke was the best choice.
We got home early this morning. I'm really tired and slept most of today. I've got a kanji quiz tomorrow... Must... Study...
